Vaccine question

Has anyone received the inactivated covid vaccine? It was made in India, I believe. This is not the Johnson and Johnson shot. It is supposedly coming out in US in October. It is like thebflu vaccine. A dead covid virus instead og mRNA like the others.

No, I got the Astra-Zeneca one, which is very similar to an inactivated virus but not identical. I had a fever for a few hours after the first shot, no ill effects at all after the second

I got J&J, not sure if that qualifies

Astra and J&J are Adenovirus I think. Is called Covaxin in India, they develop AZ there as well.

Could be covidshield? Not sure. I know there was a few Chinese vaccines that were dead virus. Chinese ones didnt work so well I remember. Dont think the Indians use the Chinese ones. Could have made another though.

Did you mean the sinopharm? I had the 2 shots and the booster, and i did the antibodies test it gave me 40 to 50 % protection. But people should not depend on vaccine alone practicing good hygiene is important hopefully we don't need more vaccines in the future
