How do you get over the feeling of being trapped?! I feel trapped alot of the time! I hate going places out of fear of a panic attack!

Number 1) keep in mind that no matter what, you will survive any panic attack Number2) Make sure wherever you go that you are in control of leaving at any time. Even if you have to go separately, the security of being in control will help you not have a panic attack during the event or social situation Number 3) let the close friends that you normally socialize with know that you have a panic disorder and what to expect if you feel one coming on

Thanks! I'm just so scared of having one I feel trapped and no way out even though I know it's just a panic attack itll go away!

No problem. Just letting you know what's worked for me. I still get a couple of them per week but have been getting them for so many years that I've learned not to worry about the next one. Just getting to that point has really helped me.
