Today’s panic attack

Today I felt I can’t breathe and I was breathing but was very aware of my mouth being closed and felt a bit freaked out by this.

Past few weeks I have worried I will die of some horrible death. Today I worried it was asthma or something? Can anybody reassure me?

I know a few people with asthma. That doesn’t sound like anything I’ve seen.

Classic panic attack. I've had numerous odd breathing-related sensations during panic attacks, and that sounds very familiar.

Once the breathing goes off we are very aware of it. Once we become aware of anything it is never a good thing. Because we focus in on it. Thus we panic as a result of doing so. Can all be about trying to take the mind off of ourselves. Let things happen by themselves. Easier said than done. But even reading a book or doing anything other than just sitting there.

I have asthma and anxiety, if you’re concerned about asthma then speaking to a doctor might be a good idea. In terms of anxiety attacks, you’ve gotten through them before!!
I always remind myself that although I think I’ll die, I also thought that last time. But I didn’t!!
Also keeping people close to you, it’s easy to push people away but you need them :)

Thanks it passed I felt dizzy tonight and worried again

I worry in the future I could have a heart attack or something awful and die a horrible death anybody else got this worry? One day I could be fine then next day not?

There are never any guarantees about what tomorrow will bring, but the point is whether you have reason to worry. Are you in good physical health? Do you have a healthy lifestyle? Have you had a physical within the interval recommended by you doctor? If you doctor tells you you're in good health, tell your doctor about your health anxiety. You might want to pursue therapy, and your doctor should be part of your mental health team.

Its not asthma and it seems like a mild panic attack. You need to see how frequently these attacks happen. If they happen more often you may need to see a doctor about it.

I feel a little bit anxious tonight as I am bored. I was thinking like how sick of my routine and going to work all the time. I worry I will go crazy or something as I had a breakdown back in 2016? Can these anxiety attacks come on for no reason? I mean we are coming out of lockdown soon so life should get a little easier and the better weather? Sometimes when these crazy thoughts come I get anxious?
