So I already had a colon cancer fear because I have diarrhea more often than not. I do have a colonoscopy scheduled for March.

I am 35, female and had a colonoscopy 5 years ago. When I was wiping today I noticed a small lump around the rim of my anus. It’s flesh colored and slightly smaller than the size of a pea. It’s pretty hard and almost looks like one of those skin tags, but bigger and flesh colored. I was already getting itchiness down there so now I’m convinced it’s anal cancer. Anyone had this before? I’m shaking because I’m freaking myself out so bad!

Not how I pictured hemorrhoids to look, so it’s really freaking me out. I already had a fear of digestive cancers so this just pushed it over the top

Oh I got one of those around 10-11 months ago when I moved, and strained myself quite a bit.
I was scared also but the nurse said it was hemorrhoids. It can be a bit itchy and uncomfortable. Eventually goes away really.

I’m a 34 year old female and I could have written your post. I think that would be a skin tag from a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Did you have kids? I had bad hemorrhoids after my pregnancies that caused the skin tags.

I do have a daughter but she’s 3.5 now and I had her via csection so I’m not sure it’s from that. I just go to worse case scenario. It can never be something simply explained. Always has to be cancer.

Pregnancy alone will cause hemorrhoids due to increased blood flow and pressure in that area. My youngest son is 3.5 as well (October 2017) and I have the same issue.
