Hi. 1st time here. Lately I have been very tired. So it all started last week when I was tested positive for strep. I was really sick running fever. I was in a after hours clinic and after I was told it was strep I did get dizzy and they had me l as y down gave me water and a cold press. I seemed fine after that. Then about a day after taking the antibiotic cefdinir I noticed I was feeling tired but I also went to bed between hrs. Of midnight and 1 am and waking around 5 am. Then since being off a week for Thanksgiving I have been going to bed late and sometimes waking up during night. I am trying to sleep more but also still going to sleep late at night but I always have been a night owl. But now I am worried something more serious could be wrong. Am I being crazy thinking something is wrong... I get short lil headaches but nothing long term I am wondering if it is from the tiredness or me just continuing to stress about this.

Hi Landres and welcome. What I would do is attribute the fatigue to the antibiotic and try not to worry about it. Sleep when you feel like it and try not to let the anxiety talk you into this being a larger problem. Try to keep hydrated.

Hi thank you. I also get panic attacks I haven't had one yet but have had them in the past. I got off the antibiotic 2 days ago but I stay up at night just worrying about getting back to normal and if I will but my hypochondria gets the best of me and I wind up staying up till 12:30 ish and get up between 7 and 8. When I wake up 1 st thing comes to mind will I feel tired today and then start to feel aches...headache bc I have a fear that this is where it's coming from I guess. I hate this... my husband and family tell me it's in my head . This happened at end of summer where I was thinking again I had a virus and had diarrhea and thought I may have colon problems...I try to tell myself it is in my head but then can't get rid of the thoughts and I feel the symptoms mean something more... that did go away and I was fine but then I got strep and then this started! Just hoping others have had same thoughts I guess...just praying I am m truly ok..

Hi Landres. I've had anxiety for so long that I have probably suffered thru over 200 panic attacks. Is your family compassionate about it being all in your head? I'm lucky to have a wife and family who accept my anxiety and put up with how it limits me. I truly think if you can somehow set some anxiety aside (so much easier said than done) your sleep patterns will return to what's normal for you. Don't beat yourself up if you feel tired and maybe you can start your day without worrying about fatigue.

Yea they are. My parents know I have been like this since I was little. Always been a worrier. My husband is too he tries to rest my mind at ease when he can. I know my husband loves me. He is usually the one that gets me moving when I am in s depressed state. Unfortunately he works offshore and is not home right now.

Doesn’t sound like anything too serious. I found myself really fatigued about 6 months ago or so and would always want to nap when I got home from class, work, etc. worried about it for a while and eventually moved on. Never did really figure it out but once I stopped worrying about it it just kind of went away.
