Hello. I was wondering if anyone has ever had tight stomach muscles due to stomach inflammation? It tightens while I'm talking and when I over do it. I'm not in a good head space

When I’m stressed and actively focusing on my issues I get muscle cramps very often! Sometimes when I run I mistake normal cramps for something more sinister.

I want to the ER last night because the pressure in my stomach was getting unbearable. They immediately did an ekg and labs. Once I got a bed an X ray was done and then shortly afterwards a doc came in to palate my abdomen. He said that my labs where perfect and the x ray looked good. He diagnosed me with GERD and gastritis and gave me meds to take. I have an appointment with my GP on Wednesday to discuss my anxiety issues. She might suggest an antidepressant...still on the fence about meds, but it's something to consider. I can't be fine one week and falling apart another week. Thanks for taking the time and replying

I’m sorry your pain was so bad you had to the ER but I’m glad that nothing came up serious and you can now be assured you are okay!

I’ve researched that low dose antidepressants can actually promote gut health because the release of serotonin is closely related to a healthy digestive system. So two for one if you decide to go that route!

I feel the same way about meds because I worry about personality change or other side effects but I know they are helpful for a lot of people. I’m in the beginning stages of finally facing my anxiety so I’m going to begin therapy as soon as I am able to. If you need anything feel free to reach out!

I've had this tight abdominal condition at different times. I eventually determined it is caused by demons, which are to be cast out (removed) in the name of Jesus Christ.
And I haven't had tight abdominal muscles since I was in the service.
