This Covid/anxiety combo is not fun at all

I got Covid positive and I am currently on day 6/7 since my symptoms started, I feel pretty good but my anxiety is toying with me and not letting me relax, mainly due to the fact that I lost very close friend two weeks ago from Covid.

Can anyone give me their timeline based on their experience? How long until I can say I may be good to go? I have very mild symptoms for all this time now...

Its one thing dealing with the anxiety on a daily basis, but this... this is not cool.

Doctors here generally recommend quarantining for 10 days, but you can certainly ask your own doctor. The few people I know personally who had COVID were almost fully recovered in a little over a week (hence the 10 days).

I had it a couple weeks ago, in Scotland you legally need to isolate for 10 days, took me about 7/8 to feel better, but you can be contagious for up to 14 days, so just be careful about that! If you're feeling good now though then you're most definitely over the worst of it!!

Sorry to hear about your friend and your fear is understandable :/
As far as I know from what nurse said to me when I got sick, around 6-7th days it either worsens or stabilizes/gets better slowly later on.
I can't be a measurement really because I got covid very mild but I can say that if your symptoms are mild until 7th day, it's expected to continue like that.
Hang in there, lots of fluids and rest. You will be alright.

I think that has been the confusing thing about Covid. It seems to differ for a lot of people. Some are hit hard. Others get away with a very mild dose of it. Thus you have the various opinions we all hear about it. Here in Ireland it is 10 days you stay locked away for. If you show no signs of it after those 10 days, they say you should be fine. Used to be 14 days when it first began. Then they took 4 days off it. As they saw that anybody who did come down with it showed early signs within the first 10 days.

Yep, that's what I've been thinking for a while as well. Kind of makes it a little scarier that there isn't such a well defined "high risk" group. Obviously people who have respiratory conditions are generally higher risk, but the virus seems to discriminate less than other viruses do.

Thank you all for your words, I know that this is the time we live on now and we need to be careful. I am very careful and staying isolated by myself, I don't want to put anyone in danger until I am back to negative. I feel pretty good and I am on day 7/8 now, taking lots of fluids and vitamins.

I appreciate everyone's responses, it means a lot.

Glad to hear that. Thanks for keeping us updated. It sounds like you'll be on the mend sooner than later, hope you feel much better soon!

I’m Covid positive as well. I’ve been watching YouTube videos of people who vlogged their symptoms day by day. It’s helped me to calm
Myself a little knowing that what I’m going through is normal.

Thank you for asking @Doug97.

I am feeling pretty good, my smell is almost back, I was tested negative on day 14, and ready to resume my life back.

The whole experience was mind play, day by day, mixing with my anxiety every moment was questionable.

Yesterday I had minor headache and my BP went higher but today I am back on track, I was told that's normal for the after Covid time.

Still really fatigued. Just coming up the stairs wears me out. I don’t think I’ve ever been this tired in my body before. I’m on day 9 and I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever get over this. I am getting really impatient. Every day I wake up and I expect it to be better but it’s not. My head cold symptoms are pretty much gone except for the cough that is coming from throat irritation.

I was similar, day 9 was still early for me, I started getting almost all the way better after day 12.

You will get there, just take care of yourself.
