The past three weeks have been miserable for me

I am currently a college student and over the past three weeks, it seems I have had a surge of panic and anxiety about my health. It started with a headache in the back of my head (mostly right side) that would come and go, and I kept worrying about it. Then all of these new symptoms started popping up, such as pain in my neck and lower back, ringing and feeling of pressure in my ears, and feeling shaky in my arms and legs. A lot of these symptoms come and go, and they aren't seeming to get worse, but it doesn't feel like it's getting better either. The doctors and nurses I've seen said all of these are symptoms of my anxiety and stress, and I even got confirmation from my vision doctor that nothing was wrong with my eyes or behind them or anything. I do have a lot of big events happening in the future though, with me moving to a new state and university next month, and basically my whole family going their own ways. I just have trouble believing this is all just anxiety and stress.

Well, it certainly sounds like anxiety and stress to me Deacon. You may not think it but moving and going to a new state may be causing this anxiety. Especially the closer the time gets. Don't worry about change. Embrace it. Although your family are all going their separate ways, you will keep in touch and still meet up. It will give you all more to talk about to be able to share what you have all been up to. Perhaps a medication might help to calm you down. Your doctor will be able to prescribe something that should help. Please let us know how you get on.

One thing about anxiety is that you've got to constantly tell yourself that you are being illogical. Hard, because we listen to our brains, this is just an inborn mechanism. But we can view it as our brains being sick, making it unreliable. When your logical side tells you not to worry, listen to that. You cannot control yourself not to worry, but you can always control yourself to not be affected by it. Keep us updated!

Anxiety can do some really crazy things physically. The first time I had a panic attack I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. I still have chest pains constantly as well as weird headaches that just make me feel spaced out. Having physical symptoms of anxiety really is one of the worst things I’ve had to deal with. Coming to terms with the fact that it is from stress will help you. You just have to remember that you are in good health and you’re young and you are just stressed out

It's quite weird really how we get physical feelings which have come from the 'mental'. It shows that it's all connected I suppose.

This happens to me frequently. I have these weeks at a time where my anxiety will surge. You’d be surprised how bad the subconscious stress effects you
