texting anxiety advice!!!

rant: does anyone hate when you text someoe and they dont reply straight away. A part of me thinks it stupid to think this way and want to move on but the other half is killing me. when I see the that I have texting anxiety about, I feel an awkward tension even if the other person has no idea it is even happening. It causes me to look at them from time to time. and I feel bad that I do this.

im in a battle of tug of war. I know that its a silly thing to get hung up on, but it is still real at the same time.

You cant control people in what they do, you can only do your part and leave the rest up to them. the onlything you have control over is your own life. Noone elses even though it hurts but thats the truth
it hurts me that I feel this way cus I dont want to be annoyed with anyone who doesn"t respond straight away.

I think i get excited bout texting bt when they dont text back in a couple hours I get worried and Ihate confrontation cus after that I feel awkward seeing that person again like i said above.

If I text someone and they don't respond then hard luck. I have reached out and done the right thing, so my conscience is clear. If it takes a while for them to come back I just realise that others have their own lives and can't always come back straight away.
You say you are in a tug of war with this. Well, stop pulling!! No wars or struggles or fights! Let life flow as it will. Just try and accept that's how things are. Not much will conform to how we want it to be. Actually, you have answered your own question in what you say in your third paragraph.

Yes, it does make sense. You are sensitive, and normal reactions will be greatly exaggerated, as with all things in anxiety. We fail to realise that we are perfectly normal except that everything gets blown up out of all proportion. Nothing about us is damaged or harmed by anxiety. Whenever a so called 'normal' person would shrug things off, we hang on to them and won't let go. The secret is to accept it all as part of life, as irritating as it may be.
