The other day I had a bad headache took some Paracetamol and it went away but I have had a very slight tension headache for a few days after like sometimes I don’t notice it. Seems to come when I think about it I feel a slight tingle at the side of my head could it be anxiety? Sometimes symptoms are really apparent but seems mild?

Anything serious would not come and go. That is how we know it is not serious. Because it comes and goes. Times you don't even feel it. Probably distracted at those times. I am sure it will clear up.

I had some paracetamol tonight as it got worse but it went away and came back a bit. Like tense at the side and across my forehead. I am very worried about work maybe that’s a cause? My worry is I’ve had the symptom days but I know with anxiety this stuff can last weeks?

You know it is just anxiety. You know they do come and go. I am sure it will be no different this time around.

Should I try relaxation and cutting out the fizzy juice? It’s been my main symptom all week a slight tension it went away at work but more prominent at home. Can the tension last all day with anxiety?

Relaxation is a great thing. Plus try your eyes a rest if you are watching too much TV or on a computer a lot. Things like that can bring on such headaches. You could try cutting out the juice if you feel it may be causing you problems. See how things are without the juice.

I had no tension headache last night but it’s back today. Can’t put my finger on why people say try relaxation sometimes that does nothing. At work I tend to notice it much less but sometimes feel it mild. Like a tight band. How long might it last? I can’t find a trigger? Last night I was keeping busy looking at hotels never had it today I’m sort of waiting to start work and feel it?

Sounds like you are just waiting for it to happen. It was you who asked should you try relaxation. That could be done in many ways. Even just listening to music you like. Nothing saying it has to be the typical anxiety relaxation methods. More just trying to unwind. Giving the eyes a break from TV and computers. We try various things. One of them might work.

The tension has also been some eye straining could be related? I notice a member on here had head tension for 2 weeks and it just went away. Mine started after I got a new manager at work. It’s a bit of a pain as I wake and body scan for the symptom. It only goes if I am working and focusing hard on the job or if am browsing hard at hotels or something to really keep my mind busy. Problem is I can’t keep that focused all day. Often with the symptoms I want them go go away but they just won’t?

No miracle cure for such a headache. You seem to know how it started. Plus it does go away when you are doing things. Shows it must be anxiety related. Or else it would be there all the time.

It sort of is there all the time but sort of don’t notice it as much when I focus on hotels or if I am at work. It’s like tension across my head or at the side of my head. I was on another forum and someone had head tension for 2 weeks so maybe it can last longer? I wake up and look for the symptom?

I don't get headaches at all. But if you wake up and look for something to happen, if will happen. Maybe try not looking for symptoms. Just try and get on with your day. See if it makes any difference at all.

Can head tension last over a week? Relaxation isn’t working unless I try deep relaxation or look at hotels/work where my mind is busy. Any other time I feel the tension? I woke up today and it never started until I was up an hour my head kept saying do I feel tense? Can anxiety really cause these symptoms? Another example I had feet pain with new shoes at work. I felt no head pain as my mind was focused on the feet? But it’s a pain as I feel tension headache quite a lot unless I really really keep the mind super busy

It seems when you are doing things, there is no pain. You feel another pain and the headache pain is gone. Hard to see it as anything serious. Simply because the pain is not always there. I am no doctor. I don't suffer from them. Might depend on how stressed you are. More stress the longer it would go on for. Try see if anybody else on the forum has these things. They would know more about them.

The headache left yesterday I hoped that would be it but I was focused on other symptoms. Today the headache returned but I am focusing on it. Every minute I think “headache” and when I over worry it became intense and was like a squeezing feeling. Strange thing is I felt fine yesterday. I don’t have a technique which gets rid of it. Maybe if I am busy I worry less then I look for it and the headache can return instantly? I had this issue about a decade ago when I started this topic and from memory the headaches lasted months. There isn’t too much worrying me but perhaps I have stuff worrying me without knowing it too much?

A few nights ago the headache went and last night it came back and today. I took some paracetamol but the head tension reminded and feel a bit sickly? Can anxiety really be causing this?

I think we both know it is all anxiety related. You even say so in your words. These things come and go. If it was something serious it would not be there one minute and gone for a period of time. Thus if related to stress / anxiety, they could come and go as they do. When you are busy you seem to be fine.

I had some chest pains last night and today too so seems I am getting lots of physical symptoms. I am going to England today and quite worried the trains had issues and also they say the Indian strain of Covid is bad in England? Plus I have bad health anxiety so all week I’ve felt anxious. But yes I was on a train other day and had a panic lasted all of maybe ten mins but that’s my worry aswell I have not been use to the long journeys. It’s hit or miss in the past I use to either be relaxed or anxious on the train. But yes Covid isn’t finished yet so I am worried how safe it will be today..also i have days with no head tension and days it comes back too.

Most people would avoid such trips if they had a fear of Covid. I certainly don't think the Indian strain is any different than the other strains. Seems like every country in the world has its own strain. Load of rubbish. What is hitting India is what hit Brazil and Spain. Just because it was bad they tell us it is a new strain. Good excuse for politicians if things get bad in the UK again. They can blame one of these so called new strains.

I managed England despite my high anxiety so I guess that’s good? Can the anxiety really be causing the head tension and chest pain? My partner also had headaches too.
