Struggling so bad.... anyone with ALS knowledge please

My doctor did not order blood work, and I still have them pretty much every day. I did just have a nerve conduction study/EMG on my left arm because of a pinched nerve in my neck. They said it was totally normal. I don't know if that would be enough of a test to show anything, but I do have twitching in that arm too and it was normal. I don't have weakness or anything else, so I don't really worry about it. I would think I would have other symptoms by now.

,Thank you. It's just when I see people worrying about twitching/ALS I want to say "NO< NO< THAT"S NOT HOW IT WORKS"!
Although I was guilty of that too. When I started noticing a lot of twitching, and went in to see my Dr., after losing my brother, he put it very clearly, "ALS is about failure, not feeling".

Kaylab, you absolutely would have. As I said, EVERYONE has twitching. (I've had a good one going on in my shoulder and thigh for about a week.) Once you get the ALS thought in your head, you become hypersensitive/hyperaware of every single twitch.

thank you bearcat. It’s so hard once the thought is there. I tend to think maybe this is the slow development of it........ I’m sorry for your personal loss but I am grateful for your first hand wisdom—- much better than internet stories.

How do u feel now dear? Im currently 8 months pregnant and going through these symptoms toms.. and i am an emotional wreck

A year later I'm so much better. Push and pray through.

ALS - Theres no such thing as “i am having trouble picking up the pencil from the floor”
it’s more like “i can’t pick up the pencil at all. i lost all ability”
it’s totally black or white area. there’s no gray area in between
