This is bad for HA sufferers because I’m thinking Something seriously is wrong with me. I’ve had bad headaches, can’t stay awake and can’t focus AT ALZl. I wasn’t a heavy coffee drinking and only started drinking full-strength in March when the quarantine happened and my local coffee shop didn’t have decaf. And then 4 days ago I just didn’t get around to getting my cup and then two days later these symptoms hit me. I was only drinking a cup a day!! But now my mind is like perhaps this has nothing to do with the caffeine withdrawal and something else is wrong!

I'd say you're most likely fine because... dangerous conditions, usually, are either extremely uncomfortable, or happen very gradually. So if it's not caffeine withdrawal, at the worst, you probably just have a cold, or aren't getting good sleep. I know that's not a very satisfying reply - you could always try one cup to see if it causes any changes. But I wouldn't worry too much.

These are classic symptoms of caffeine and nicotine withdrawal. I was never a big coffee drinker, maybe 2 cups a day, but I did dip a lot during my 12-hour overnight shift. I dipped to quit smoking, which was probably a bad idea because I only smoked about 5-6 a day unless I was drinking then it was about 12-15.

I decided to get crazy healthy so I quit both nicotine and caffeine at the same time. Shortly after I began having a constant semi-sharp headache deep in the center of my brain, from the second I woked up until I went to bed, not like the normal ones you get between the eyes. I am the type of person that barely ever gets headaches, so this was weird for me. After 2 weeks I couldn't take it anymore, went to the doc who said "you know, I'm 99.99% positive that it's due to you quitting nicotine and caffeine simultaneously cold turkey, but I'll order an MRI because I would do the same for my son."

MRIs came back perfectly fine. About a week later, the headaches went away. I was just suffering withdrawal.

Maybe try melatonin for sleep and GABA for mood. They worked for me.

I really doubt you would suffer such bad withdrawal only drinking a little coffee a day for a few months. I used to drink regular coffee, pop, anything with caffeine and stopped because of heart palpitations and never felt anything. I know everyone is different, but sometimes our anxiety makes us over think what we are feeling. I quit smoking about 15 years ago, about a pack a day, and I didn't even really feel symptoms from that other than being grumpy for a few weeks, so I doubt it's from that small amount of caffeine. I mean you could try a cup of coffee and see, but the mind is a powerful thing and we can imagine all kinds of things. I'm right in the middle of that at this moment and trying to dig my way out - again!

I do not think caffeine effects someone that much, i suppose it can do. I drunk 8 cups of caffeine filled coffee at work, yet i slept like baby most days. I even felt tired after drinking it. It depends on health system, and what your food and drink intake is in general and not specifically because of what you mentioned.
