Hi everyone,
My anxiety has gotten a lot worse lately so I’m thinking of buying this. I'm reading some reviews but they are quite mixed. Some say it makes their anxiety worse, others say its great. Does anyone have experience with it? Any noticeable affects?
Thanks!

Hi Chris - I've read that it is used more for depression than anxiety - I don't have any personal experience with it. We have another thread where lots of people posted about supplements and natural remedies - you might check it out!

I was just reading about this... I read that it can cause really bad side affects if taken with another SSRI..I did not believe in essential oils but when I started having my panic attacks a friend gave me one called Stress away and it helps out a lot.

Stress away? Can’t say I’ve ever heard of it. Does it make you relaxed?

Yes... I put behind my ears before I go to bed and it just calms me down... I have it in my purse so that if work gets stressful I can use it... look it up and read the reviews it might work for you... I used to pick at my friend for using essential oils but when this hit and she gave me some... I believe in it 100% now...the brand is Youngliving and the oil is called Stress Away

I don't want to say yes it helps with thoughts because I have never paid attention to that but it does relax me and when I am relaxed I am not having crazy thoughts go through my mind... my biggest thing is the thoughts as well.. are you taking any medication? (sorry if you answered that already)

Well I have been on Zoloft for almost 4 weeks now and it has helped me so much.. I do still have some crazy thoughts but my mind is not racing like it was..the only side effects I have had was dry mouth and trouble sleeping for the first couple of weeks but my doctor said that would calm down... I have started sleeping better already and my mouth doesn't stay dry all the time now lol that was really annoying...

Lol that does sound annoying and such a random side effect, do the makers of the drug even know why it does it?

Anyway what you said does sound promising, im really happy it’s working for you, :) out of interest is that the first med you ever went on or have you tried others before ?

Yea it is a random side effect but it says it could happen lol I'm just glad it's the only issue I have had other than the sleep... It was the first one I got put on because my doctor said it works the fastest and because my family has a history of Anxiety and my dad has been on Zoloft for almost 30 years so he said if it works for my dad it will most likely work for me...and so far so good

Yea I think he told me he is on 200mg now... I remember when I was in High School he stopped taking it for a while and it did not turn out good for him so he got back on it and I think that is the only time he has been off of it... My doctor told me that since this was m y first "episode" that I will be on it for at least a year and then he will take me off of it and then if I have an "episode" after that he will keep me on it for 2 years and if it happens a 3rd time that's when he will prescribe it for life... which since my dad has been on it for most of his adult hood the chances of me being on it for the rest of my life are grater..(fingers crossed I'm not!)

Thank you @iThink2much17 appreciate your input, those are very wise words. I’m thinking of buying it, although there are other natural remedies people have mentioned in this thread, that look interesting too. Do you take any meds or remedies for your anxiety?
