When I was a young teenager I use to listen to Guns N Roses a lot I actually still have my old GNR cassette tapes still put away in my old lock box.

I loathe GNR lol I think Axil is talentless but his band rocks!

Shock, horror. I won't pretend I am a massive fan of the band. Few good songs. No albums by them at all. And I have albums by everyone. LOL.

One of our greatest singers of all time. First black Irish singer. Loved by everybody. Is a statue of him here in Dublin.

It's not a song but a symphony that I have found soothing. Beethoven's sixth. 'The Pastoral'. Its all about life. In the beginning it's all dancing and joyful. Then in the distance the thunder is heard followed by a full blown storm. (The drums have their full play). Then a gradual time of absolute peace follows, the birds sing and even a cuckoo is heard. Life is like that. Joy and happiness, followed by times of sorrow, but then comes the peace we so desperately want.

My classical music taste only extends as far as Vivaldi's four seasons. Nigel Kennedy. He has done a fair few versions of it over the years. Even a rather odd one that turns into rock music and then dogs barking. When I heard it first I thought it was very strange. Am used to it by now.

Jeff Wayne's war of the worlds is one album I love to listen to. You get the whole story told out. Music mixed in with it. The original version is better. Was a much later version done out with much younger singers. For young people of today. Called the next generation. Mind you I did once have the radio version from back in the day. Orson Welles. Made to sound a news broadcast. That version had a lot of Americans thinking they were been invaded by martians. Caused a lot of panic. Do have a hardback copy of the book as well.
