Hey guys. So I was just on my way home from the store, it’s night time, and my 12 yr old daughter was in the car with me. We were being silly, laughing, joking and then all of a sudden my vision started to get blurry/go out ( hard to explain) it was so bad I could see to drive and pulled over. I felt like I was passing out. I was panicking a little but it wasn’t like a normal panic attack. I am now scared I had a small stroke. TIA (mini strokes) come on sudden and go away fast. That’s what this did. It wasn’t a normal panic attack. Oh and now I have head pain on the right side....Now I am scared and I’m tired of this crap! I really wish I was normal....

Sounds like what happens before a migraine. I've had that happen to me, mine normally is brought on by light.

I wish I could explain it better. My vision was definitely messed up but it felt like I was passing out. My heart started racing for a minute because I was so scared. I don’t have a migraine just some weird head pains coming and going on right side. I don’t know if it could have been a panic attack and just different than usual. I was literally laughing as it came on though. I vaguely remember having a weird feeling in my throat right before so maybe subconsciously it threw me into a panic attack. But it came and went so fast where as usual it takes a while to calm down.
I didn’t have the normal hard to breath, heart racing, panicky feeling

It was a adrenaline rush caused by you feeling scared. How long did the blurred vision last? I still think it could of been migraine related sometimes you get a bad headache after and other times just a little pain.

How about derealisation? Something along those lines. That messes with your vision. can give you that whole feeling of been on the verge of passing out. Can also make you feel like time has passed that you don't remember. just a real spaced out sort of feeling. Can last for only seconds. Can last for hours. Can be frightening when it happens and you had no idea what is happening. Just sounds a bit like that to me.

I had derealisation with my first ever panic attack and a few since, it’s really scary, and I didn’t have it with this one at all. The first thing I remember is my vision going out and me THEN getting scared so I pulled over. The vision change made me feel like I was passing out. I got shaky and just tried to get home fast ( I was pretty close to home) because I was afraid of passing out and my daughter being in the car with me on the side of the road. By the time I got home, about 2 minutes if that, my vision was back to normal and I was just shaky and anxious. I don’t know....the vision thing definitely was the scariest part. I just wish it was a “normal” panic attack so I would know that’s what it was

As Truth initially mentioned, migraines can not only cause auras, which almost always involve vision impairment, but it’s not uncommon to get the aura and then no or minimal headache/head pain. It’s called an ocular migraine. I get them. Women especially are prone to migraines due to, amongst other reasons, hormone changes.

A couple months ago I had an episode of double vision. My doctor believed it was either a migraine, or some combination of stress, sleep deficiency, caffeine or not drinking enough water. Not sure if any of those might be issues for you. You were I know stressing about the tinnitus a few days back.

My first thought was migraine as well. Phillies Phan pretty much covered what I wanted to say. I've also had the aura with little or no head pain. Vision disturbances and such.

I remember the first time i got (what i believe) was the ocular migraine. It sent me into a panic attack. My peripheral vision clouded up completely. Sounds like what happened to you.

Yeah, I had a really rough few days/week worrying about the pulsatile tinnitus. The worrying is better but not gone. Definitely been stressed. Just crazy how it came out of nowhere

Sometimes the visual distortion of aura can send you into a bit of a panic and it spirals. I had one while driving before and felt the same as you. Hard to not think the worst, but if you are worried might be worth a follow up with your doc?

I have been in this escape scenario. I do have migraines so I kinda wrote it off as that after I finished panicking about TIA/stroke. How are you feeling now ? Better I hope !

I get these. Aura before a migraine.
