Hi Rebecca. I have trouble going places, period. I too get lost very easily and panicky until getting my bearings back. However, I prefer going it alone as I go at my own pace and can head back home if things get tough. When I go with others, invariably I'll be asked many questions about what I want to do and making decisions while anxious is difficult for me.

i hate going places alone. i normally avoid it at all costs. ive got my fiance thats really good about running errands for me, thank god! and one good friend that understands this disorder. sad how i can only say "one" but you really find out who your true friends are when you open up and they find out what your going thru. i think i hate the driving part worse than going into a place...idk? its a toss up. i get bad panic attacks when i have to drive, especially a long distance from home. im leaving my "safe place" or where i feel the safest anyway. thank goodness in my area where we live they now have where you can do your grocery shopping online and just go and pick it up, dont even have to go into the store. best thing they came up with ever!! so i typically do everything online and then he or we both will go and pick it up. sounds sad...almost turns you into a hermit but...it takes alot of anxiety out of my life. but i know how you feel!
