Should I Worry About This?

So I’m here for my annual checkup, and this HUMDITY SUCKS! LOL.

Being from Arizona, having to go from dry heat there to humid moist heat in Tennessee is not fun LOL.

But besides the point, I wanted to ask if I should be worried about checking for tick bites or anything of that nature. I wasn’t around the woods or anything like that, just a lot of natural plants, trees, things like that since it’s much more greener in Tennessee.

Should I be concerned about checking for tick bites? How would I know if I was bitten by a tick? Or if a tick is biting me in that case LOL? Thanks in advance y’all!

I live in a pretty tick-heavy area. If I'm out in the woods or a field I would use bug spray and do a careful check when I got home. In my normal daily life, I don't really worry about it. If you're mostly in paved areas you should be safe from ticks.

And that’s where I was 100% of the time, in paved areas and in the downtown parts of the city, nowhere near any wooded areas. I did like a slight inspection for any ticks, but haven’t noticed anything.

Bumping this thread with another question of “should I worry about this?”

So to treat my acne, I used a topical cream that has 10% benzoyl peroxide as it’s active ingredient. I had a pimple pop up RIGHT smack dab on my lip, which ironically popped when I went to lick my lips. I cleaned it, washed it, whatever, and then put that topical cream on it. But of course, anxiety kicked in.

Because the cream was so close to my mouth, I was afraid I got some in my mouth, swallow it, and now it’s gonna cause something to happen. It wasn’t a lot that I put on, but I’m still worried about how much would cause a reaction. Should I even worry about this?

Well.... safe to say it has been a very interesting morning.

For starters, I had trouble falling back asleep when I woke up at 5:40 this morning, so I looked at my phone for a little bit before I fell back asleep and got back up at 7:30.

When I did get back up at 7:30, I had this big headache behind my eyes that did not feel good at all. I had a feeling it was because I was dehydrated, because I was sweating profusely last night, so I started drinking some water.

But then I started getting sick. Threw up probably like five times in a matter of an hour and a half, couldn’t keep anything down. Eventually got back to my bed, went back to sleep for another three hours or so, and woke up feeling great. No headache, stomach felt better, and now, I feel totally normal. Weirdest experience ever with being sick.......

Funny thing is that my anxiety never really presented itself while I was getting sick and bearing the headache.

Just wanted to share that with y’all. If you have any ideas why that could’ve happened, feel free to shoot them at me LOL.

I thought I was getting better, but that’s a fat no.

Tried munching on some Cheerios and drinking water, but hours later, that all came back up, and my headache returned before I threw up again.

So looks like I may have a virus

Secondly, just a quick update. Feeling much better now. Slept more after the last time I got sick, and the headache once again went away. I’ve been able to keep down pretzels, ice chips, and some plain buttered noodles. So... progress!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you all an update. Feeling much better today, ate a normal breakfast along with my decaf coffee and some water.

Only thing that's bugging me today is the fact that it feels like my ears are plugged even though I can hear just like normal. I just feel plugged, which I know, seems weird. Does anyone else get this feeling after they get sick? Or is that just me LOL?

Another one to file under this topic.

So I woke up this morning with this weird mark on the side of my knee, and I think it’s just an acne bump (trust me I get them everywhere), but I can’t tell for sure. Hopefully it’s not a spider bite. Anyone have insight?
