Just curious to get some feedback from people who have health anxiety and how it has impacted their relationships. I know from my own personal experience its been pretty hard on my wife to deal with my various issues that come up and at same time I sometimes wish she was a little more gentle with me. Anyway, just want to see if anyone has any tips maybe or some helpful advise :)

Although i have support, I would like that my partner is a little more gentle with me too. I think that people who do not suffer from health anxiety do not understand fully our anxiety episodes. On the other hand, I think that it is not easy to be with someone who is a majority of his/her time in fear of having a serious illness.

Some people with hypochondria have partners who also have hypochondria. So they can relate to each other in that sense.

I would imagine that’s hard, but see how two people would understand each other.

Being in a relationship myself with someone who is for sure is not, makes this situation very challenging. I would say cbt helps and I have gone with my partner in the past and would recommend for sure to anyone in this forum.
