The past 2 days my breasts have been really sore(and they don't get sore that often unless I am near my period, which I am not) So I'm cornered about that and today I noticed that on both of my nipples I have tiny little red dots. It looks kinda dry and looks like it could be blood spots, but it won't come off when I rub it with a tissue and there is no discharge that I am aware of . I don't know if I have always had this, I usually check for lumps but I don't normally pay attention to my nipples. I made an appointment with my womens health doctor for tuesday to see about a mole on the side of my breast, so I am going to mention that too. But now I can calm down in the waiting. Does this sound like breast cancer?

Do you have children and are you breastfeeding? Sometimes that can cause dryness and irritation in the nipples.
I think discoloration and irritation on and around the nipple area can also happen during pregnancy. Are you pregnant or is there a chance that you could be?

Years ago a doctor examined me and told me that I had been pregnant before as I had red spots on my nipples. I have always miscarried my babies due to being O negative and sometimes didn't even realise that I was pregnant.
It doesn't sound like breast cancer to me but you will find out on Tuesday when you go for your check up. I hope that it all goes okay for you.

Im somewhat sexually active with my boyfriend, but I don't think we have had actual sex enough for me to be pregnant. But thank you. My bf said those spots have always been there, but it just is more irritated because i kept on rubbing it to see if it was blood that would come off. But there wasn't any.

Have you done a pregnancy test? It only takes one time to get you pregnant. You may have been pregnant in the past and miscarried without realising. It may be best to ask a doctor. Do you have any other symptoms like peeing a lot? I've had sore boobs when I've been pregnant and got spots on my nipples.
I can't be, I'm on the pill and I just got my period a little over a week ago

Then I would go and see a doctor or get a second opinion. Better to be safe than sorry they say. Once you know what it is you can relax and not worry about it.

The nipple skin can irritated or damaged during sex. You might not feel it while doing it, but your partner might have squeezed them a bit too hard and irritated the nipple a bit.
I would keep an eye on it and don’t rub them, that makes it worse.
