Anyone have good books about anxiety they'd like to recommend? I've been reading "The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook."
What I like about it is the detailed medical explanations in it and the progressive delving into more complicated parts of anxiety. It's not a book that's meant to be read in one sitting, every chapter may take a month and it also has some exercises that can help. It really was a complement my therapy sessions as well. I recommend it as it was really helpful, not what one would think a self help book is.

Any other recommendation?

87,
Hope and Help for your Nerves. (Claire Weekes).

Old school help for managing anxiety (what Weekes described as 'nervous illness'). The best guide I've ever read on anxiety management. It was a game-changer for me.. lots of used copies out there. peace.

I would recommend the '10 Best-Ever Anxiety Management Techniques" for some practical stuff... I also have been fascinated by some reading about how our bodies store all kinds of trauma and anxiety - I've been reading 'Waking the Tiger' and 'The Body Keeps the Score.' Even if you don't think you suffer from PTSD, it's really interesting to learn about the fight or flight response, and how we get STUCK in it. That's what anxiety is, essentially...I haven't finished either, but both came highly recommended by my therapist.
