So I had my last period in 2018
and 3 days ago, went to the bathroom and saw spotting. Hasn’t happened since but so have some weird yellowish discharge that I haven’t had before. The very next day, saw my gyn, and checked everything and said she didn’t see any remnants of blood whatsoever. Ordered an ultrasound. Had the ultrasound done. Ovaries look fine, but this is what the endometrium portion says: Normal endometrium 0.2 with equivocal thickening near fundus 0.53 cm. No mass. If more imaging is suggested, recommend sonohysterography. I am so worried now. I work at a hospital and know the actual radiologist who read the report and also called another colleague I know that both said the US didn’t look worrisome but I should still have the sonohysterography. I have health anxiety so this is sending me into a rabbit hole. Can someone please give me some words of advise or experiences of their own please?

I don't have the experience myself but I know someone with some thickening of the uterus (or walls of it don't know the term). But as far as I know anything sinister down there should be visible with Ultrasound imaging.
Maybe they want to be on the safe side?
Like the dr sent me to contrast CT anyway even though she was 100% sure that my symptoms were caused by the kidney stone. Same logic I think.
I think it's ok to trust the radiologists in this case.

You need to trust the experts. Most post menopausal spotting is from vaginal atrophy.
You did the right thing by contacting your doctor. That’s great!
