hey guys, i feel likke i am the only on who gets nervous when meeting new people as i think about what would they look like and am afraid if they will judge me and but does anyone else feel nervous when they have to meet new people face to face ? and also when i am at home i imagine myself rlly good at interaction with other people but when it gets up to the point of actually seeing them one the street i just freeze when we start a conversation and dont know what to say (especially with other teenagers that i dont know and i am 19. i do not know if that all made sence but i hope you cann help me out.

You need to take a step back. Breathe. Relax. Do things at your own pace. We can try and rush things and end up tripping over our own words. If we slow things down, that will not happen. Don't try and get everything out as quickly as possible. I am sure you know what people your age are in to these days. So keep it simple. Use the most obvious topics. Never try and speak about something you have no idea about. All about setting your own pace. Never rushing anything at all.

Sorry bud, I can't tell you how to completely make it stop. I still have that problem. The best thing is to get or at least read the theory behind cognitive behavioral therapy. That teaches toy how to recognize and neutralize your ANTS - automatic negative thoughts.

You have to break out of your insecurities. The cup of tea us easier to drink once you blow it colder.
