Hi, my name is Tristin I’m an almost 22 year old male. Last year I was heavier at 205lbs and went to Cuba contracted travelers diarrhea and ended up becoming very sick from it for months. Losing 40 pounds from not being to sick to eat and to nervous because it wasn’t going to agree with me. I started feeling better but starting constantly thinking it was something else. I got tested 3 times blood tests everything came back okay. It’s almost been a full year. Whenever I feel sort of the same sickness (having diarrhea, stomach pain from being hungry, or anything like that) I get very anxious and nauseous it makes me not want to eat and I just feel so helpless. Some days I can eat a bunch and not worry, other days I struggle to eat because I’m so worried and nauseous thinking I still might have wrong. I don’t sleep well, and don’t have a job so I sit here all day thinking. Is this health anxiety?

Sounds a little bit like health anxiety mixed with a little, for good measure, PTSD.
Experiencing such a sickness, can course something like PTSD.
I remember, when I first had lice, with 23, it was so terrible, that I sometimes still fear that I have them back, just because my head starts itching.
I can imagine that your experience has a similar influence on you.
The good thing is, you have had blood tests, and you are in contact with your doctors.
That is always important.
I would suggest checking out some probiotics stuff to get your bowl system back to normal.
Sometimes strong meds, like antibiotics can have a bad influence on your bowl system, or more the good bacteria that live there.
This can lead to some digestive difficulties.
So have a look at probiotic stuff.

I would agree with Rinka, definitely sounds like some anxiety is the main culprit here.

It may be an idea to see a nutritionist as well. You can reach one through your doctor. They will also help you to get your eating habits back on track.

It sounds like you've been scared off from food because of what happened. This is PTSD. Because you are living in a past trauma. This is what is giving you anxieties which will end up being over anything. Is there a reason that you can't work? Try to get yourself busy doing something which will make you feel better emotionally. While the nutritionist will sort out your eating habits and get your health back on track.
