I have a ton of clothes/items I want to donate to goodwill. Really nice stuff so I dont want to just throw it away. However I am super paranoid about donating the stuff. As far as I know I have not had the virus, nor anyone in my household. But I am so scared thinking "what if I donate and for some reason an item has the virus on it then the person that buys it gets sick from it" any advice on what to do :(

Go ahead and donate it. The CDC just released something saying that it doesn’t spread easily on surfaces.

Still collecting anything people want to donate here in Ireland. Safe to do. Give them a call and leave what you have outside your house. No idea how you do it over there. Are shops here in Ireland. But they are all closed at the moment. So they also send people picking bags of items up door to door. People simply leave the bags / boxes out front for them. Might sweep through a few areas in one day.

Roxy, I think it's nice of you to want to donate really nice clothes and items to Goodwill.

Virus cannot live more than 3 days on any surface, so set the items aside for 3 days and then donate them. Wear gloves and a mask when handling them (in order to donate) after the 3 days are up. It'll be fine.

Thanks all! It’s all bagged up and ready to go in my trunk. I’ll be dropping it off in a few days!
