Ok totally freaked out. My cousin told me our dead grandmother visited her last night in a dream. Noticed her hair is growing back (true) and then said a cousin is dying! This could be any cousin but it’s sending me so far over the edge. What if I’m the cousin? The absolute worst thing for an anxiety sufferer to hear! How would you process this?
Ok totally freaked out by this premonition- wouldn’t you be?

Have had dreams of people dying. Some of them did die. But most of them are still alive. Much like the lottery. Is a rare chance that some time a person will die and I will say ' I had a dream about that '. Did I really have that exact dream? Might have had a similar dream. About a person dying. But when you hear of a death the mind remembers dreams of death. That is when you think it was that person you had dreamed about. The mind throws back everything to do with death. A dream just happens to be in there.

Hi. kammie. You ask how I would process this. Now this may not go down well, but a dream is never just a dream. It never 'just happens to be there', oh no. Carl Jung and Clement Freud used dreams in their analysis of patients. Dream interpretation is an art. Freud called dreams 'The royal road to the unconscious'. Dreams speak to us in symbols. It's the language of the unconscious. In the dream nothing is as it seems. Ask yourself what is a grandmother, or a cousin? What is hair growing back? Your dream may be a message about living not dying.

What if I told you that the dream is a positive one not negative and has nothing whatsoever to do with death? When our conscious mind is in suspension as in sleep, the unconscious comes into it's own and can give us valuable insights into our condition and what needs to be done.

Very interesting interpretation! My dead grandmother came to my cousin and said these things about hair and about one of her cousin’s dying but you’re right - it might not have anything to do with death per se. I will take it as a positive and flip it. I was also presuming I was the targeted cousin, there are others, grandma didn’t specify.
I like the symbolic interpretation takeaway. Thank you!Your grandmother didn’t “come” to your cousin in a dream. Your cousin just dreamed it. Could have been something she watched on TV before bed or a book or whatever.

Dreams are not meant to come true. They are not premonitions or fortune telling. They are messages from our unconscious mind that are telling us something about our condition and what may need to be remedied. There are two types of dream. Big ones and little inconsequential ones. The little ones may well be from the days events and although may have some meaning are easily forgotten Big dreams are different and should be heeded. They are not easily forgotten. I am aware this is a whole plateful for anyone not acquainted with dreams to swallow. But, believe me, I have seen people find new hope in the interpretation of their dreams. They come terrified about an 'awful' dream they had, but once analysed it's seen as something not awful at all but encouraging.
