Now prescribed buspirone

Thread starter #1
Good morning everyone!

I have always suffered from anxiety, but the last couple of months it has been unbearable. I believe it is due to th fact that I am getting married next month. The severe symptoms started at my shower, I couldn’t even leave the bathroom because my head was spinning and all I wanted to do was throw up. After that day, it has been unbearable almost everyday, and I do not have an appetite to eat anymore. My doctor prescribed me buspirone today and wants me to take it 2-3 times a day.

My question is, is anyone taking this and seen results? My biggest thing is having severe anxiety attacks the day of my wedding to the point where I won’t be able to enjoy it, I am most nervous about the nauseousness. Did this medication help anyone with that?

Buspirone is an interesting medication. They really don't know how it works but for some people it has great results. Unfortunately it didn't help me much but I also didn't see any side effects while on it. Sure hope it brings you relief.

Hi! I don't know about the medication but I had the same type of anxiety before I got married! Life changes whether positive or negative can cause stress. I was prescribed zoloft and that helped the transition. You are not alone. If you need to talk I would be more than happy to listen.
