I'm at my wits end. My new upstairs neighbour moved in around 5 weeks ago and was extremely noisy for the first night. We spoke to him and he agreed to try and keep it down but agreed I could message him if it got loud. I ended up messaging every night for the least wee thing, I lie awake listening for noise and sometimes j feel my hearts gonna stop in beats so fast, I get diaorreah, fast breathing, dizzy. I'm becoming obsessed about things that haven't happened yet, help I'm desperate

Have a word with the land lord. The owner of the actual building. Get them to sort it out. By law they are meant to sort such matters out. Not sure what country you are. If the place is council owned, get the council to sort it out. Whoever owns the complex should be the one putting an end to it.

Land lord should be the one to sort it out. Bad for business if you have a noisey person like this. Would put anybody else off wanting to move in. I would even go so far as to tell the neighbour what is been done. He might fear getting kicked out and just shut up.

All the more reason to get it sorted out as quickly as possible. Unless you want to go up with a baseball bat and sort it out a different way. Obviously he is not going to listen to words. The owner of the appartment complex is the one to talk to. The person you rent from. Or if you really wanted you could call the police the next time he has it on. From what I know, under UK law, the give a warning first. If they have to return they actually take away his sound system. He would have to go to court to get it back. Probably end up with a fine and a noise barring order issued against him. But for that it would have to be real loud.
