I just found this forum and I am so glad. I have had anxiety issues my entire life but didn't realize it until adulthood. As a kid, I thought everyone worried the way I did. As of late my biggest issues have been with health anxiety. Dr. Google IS not my friend....

Hello Grace and a warm welcome here. I'm glad you found this forum too. Like you I suffered as a child and didn't realise it until I was an adult. I had PTSD and didn't know until I got it in my adulthood. I'm wondering if I don't suffer from health anxiety too as I shy away from anything health related. You are right, Dr Google is not a good doctor. He/she just does not have any kind of sympathy or compassion. He/she doesn't even care if the info is correct. It is okay to check up but always a good idea to check with the doctor as well. All the tests in the world are a good idea. Better safe than sorry.

I honestly had to block webMD and all major medical websites...I had to shut down Facebook because every time I would see a gofundme or something it would trigger my anxiety...I can’t watch the news...I completely get where your coming from. I would suggest taking a week break from things like news and FB. It took away a lot of my worry. Anxiety still has its ways of finding us but every little bit helps :)
