Newbie here!

Hi everyone.

I actually found another set of forums but they seemed to be a dead end where almost nobody posted. I've had anxiety issues for a long time and they've contributed to my compulsive lying problems. Things have gotten pretty bad in my marriage due to the lying, and I'm just looking for some support for it. I'm gonna post a more detailed version of what's going on in the main forum, but I just wanted to introduce myself here.

Husband actually lol. I'm in the odd situation where the wife is the one that messed up instead of him, but it happens.

I had seen a therapist years ago for anxiety and got turned off by it. I had just gotten on the pill at the time and was dealing with some really severe side effects because I had been prescribed the ABSOLUTELY wrong one and instead of looking into that, she was trying to get me on medications that I had told her I was not comfortable being on. I mentioned to her that I thought it was because of the pills and her reactions was just like "oh yeah, maybe". After that I wasn't really interested. My husband had some pretty traumatic things in his past having to do with counseling and is uncomfortable going to see one, whether it's on his own or with me, which I completely understand. I wanted to reach out to a forum before making that move because I feel very awkward in one on one sessions and have found better advice in a group setting of people that actively deal with the same things/similar things as me.
