Hello,
I suffer from anxiety and have for all my life, but almost unbearable for the last 12 years. I’ve never liked big crowds of people or really even leaving my house. But for the last 12 years I just get to where I always think of worst case scenario and can’t get that out of my head, then that kicks into panic. Most times I can breathe and relax and get past the feeling, but other times it sticks around for a day or more. I found this group and joined so I can talk to other people who have the same problems and learn what they do to deal with the problem. I talk to my wife about it, and she tries to help, but it’s hard for someone to help that has never had the same experiences. So I hope I can learn something here and get to go past this thing and live a normal life. And maybe help others along the way.

I got where youre comin from G. Been battling this damn thing for almost 40 years here. I can usually only leave my house once a month, and twice monthly when its the month to renew my scripts at my dr. Once a month i go to get groceries but i go right before my store closes at 1am so not to have many people there.

Great place here, many take the time to post and help others. Its a wotld of difference to talk to someone who knows from experience where we're coming from! Just to talk is a tremendous help! Welcome and keep posting, cause we all need each other :)

Thanks for your post. Anxiety and panic attacks are the worst! You are not alone in this. I’ve had anxiety for most of my life, and a recent severe panic attack and anxiety have sort of derailed me. So I am totally with you and truly understand the struggle. Have you tried any medications?

I am currently taking 75mg Effexor once per day. It definitely helps a lot, I would love to beat it and no longer need medication. And really hoping to learn some ways to do just that.
