So I got sick about a month ago with a respiratory illness. I immediately assumed that it was the worst, thinking that it was popcorn lung, lung cancer, pneumonia, etc. I was scared and didn’t know what was happening, so I went to urgent care and they did an X-ray of my lungs and determined it was clean.
A week later, I ate a spoonful of peanut butter and my throat felt funny. I ended up drinking a lot of water, and thought I was going to die. I ended up being fine, but still it was very scary.
A few days after that, I started having bad dry mouth was peeing a lot, and was also constipated. I went to the internet and thought the worst again, thinking that I had diabetes. My dad is a diabetic and tested my blood sugar over the weekend four times and I tested normally all four times.
The constipation continued though and I thought I had fecal impaction or a blocked bowel. I had stomach cramps and again I thought I was going to die.
And up to now. Last Thursday, my eyes became bloodshot from looking at my computer screen in the dark, and thatwas accompanied by headaches all over my head. Again, looking for answers, I went to the internet and thought I had a brain aneurysm, stroke or some sort of brain bleed. I also haven’t been able to sleep. Last night, I woke up and my left leg felt off (Not numb or tingly), justfelt weird. I began having a panic attack and my chest was pounding. It only lasted a few minutes andafter I felt ok. Today, my headaches are no longer bad, but I’m still worried that I’m going to have a stroke. I keep checking to make sure that I can feel my arms and legs and make sure everything is ok. I’m only 20 and relatively healthy, so I shouldn’t be worrying about my health at all.I always see myself checking symptoms and always assuming the worst. I’m trying to break this habit but it’s very hard for me. I also should mention that I’ve had a lot of problems with focus and concentration over the past month andjust don’t feel like myself anymore. Dp you guys have any advice for me? Again, I’m new to the forum and am looking for some advice, as this has spiked on mepretty quickly.

At 20. If you are healthy theres really no need to worry about diseases and stuff like that. Checking symptoms will only aggravate symptoms. Anxiety loves clinging to symptoms you read about. You read about heart attack? It mimics it. Stroke? It will mimic it. It's common for people with hypochondria to fear the worst. I think all of us here do

Google is my worst enemy. I have been googling like crazy for a week now for symptoms and it's always horrible things. :(
