Hey I'm Sid
Been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for over a decade now. Was on Paxil for about 5 years worked good but quit working about 4 years ago. Haven't been able to find another one that works for me since. For the last year or so haven't been able to work much Drywall Finisher so fairly physical job. Now any kind of stress physical, mental, emotoinal or heat sets it off. Before when I had an attack I feel better after a couple of days. Now when I have an attack I feel like carp for a month. SUCKS!! Feeling pretty lost these day can't get any relief.??????????

Hello Sid. I am sorry you are dealing with so much. I'm fairly new as well. Welcome to the forum. Kind of like misfit Island, huh? I'm glad you are here. Coming here myself has really helped. I've found that people here are very kind and helpful and willing to share their own experiences which does help ease some anxiety and fear. When is the last time you have met with a therapist? I am on the search for one myself. I have found that they are great advocates for our well being and can get you on the right track to feeling more yourself. You are not alone and definitely among friends here. Again, welcome!

I've always just delt with it with my GP. Never even had a GP recommend it.At this point I'm considering a head doc. Probably should have done it sooner.

I think you would find one very beneficial. They have some great coping techniques and will readily work with you on getting the right medication to help you function better. Never hesitate to post any questions or concerns here. People here are very friendly and good at giving a prompt reply. It's good to have a support group!
