Hello,

I am new to the forum, and pretty new to anxiety.

Little bit about myself, I am 40 years old male, and I recently lost my father suddenly, he had a stroke, that shook up myself and my family (mother and sister). As much as I don’t stress and try to keep things together, I got an anxiety.

The doctor prescribed me to take Escitalopram at night, and it get better for a while, but lately my anxiety is very bad, I feel lightheaded most of the time, irritated, I do have a lot of energy but I am feeling tired. I did all my medical checks and all of the results came good.

I am very active, I play football, do HIIT, Pilates, I also run and going to the gym.

I'm sorry that you lost your father to a stroke, Mak. Strokes are terrible.

I hope that commenting to this forum will help you cope with your anxieties as well as help you cope with the sudden loss of your dad.

Thank you Mike,

Reading through this forum, I realized that we all have same/similar issues, we need to fight through this.

It can be a great comfort to realize the weirdness in your head isn't a totally unique and isolating thing. Some of the weirdest symptoms can make you feel cut off from the normal world around you. As we express them here though, even thoughts we haven't been able to put into words can be seen in someone else's here. I find it enormously comforting. Good job on the exercise, its a miracle drug.
