Last week I felt like I was taking a deep breath but it wasn’t satisfying/felt like I wasn’t getting enough oxygen out of it and my lungs were burning. I ended up at the ER. Another EKG, more extensive blood work, chest X-ray, etc.) found nothing wrong but got reassurance that my heart as of right now is healthy as it should be as far as they can tell. Told it was probably anxiety or possibly muscle spasms causing the sensation of restriction. Sent home with Acid Reflux meds and an inhaler (Honestly, i think the inhaler was just prescribed to make me “feel” better. I’m scared to use it because it increases anxiety.)

About four days ago, I started to feel a headache coming on. I took medicine and was able to stop it from getting severe. Next day the same thing happened again. The third day I had no symptoms. Then yesterday, I felt the headache start again. I took something but it didn’t touch the pain. I thought it was a migraine (ice pick type pain in my temple, dull pain behind ear, limited to left side, mild nausea, sensitivity to bright lights.) when the pain was most severe, my ear began to hurt. In addition to the pain, my left side of my face began to feel tight, numb, pins and needles feeling. I decided to go to urgent care and they treated me for the migraine. While i was at the doctors office, my facial muscles began to twitch. Now I’m afraid I have an aneurysm or something. The pain wasn’t even that terrible, definitely not the worst headache I’ve ever had. It was the muscle tightness/burning/twitching that scared me most. It started happening again about two hours ago. When I feel it tighten up, sometimes my nose runs. Anyone else experience this or something similar?

I do experience tingling in my face when I have a migraine. It’s like a numbness that washes over the whole left side of my face and lasts about an hour on and off. I also experience a weird tingly feeling on the right side of my face on my cheek when I get anxious about something. Really weird. Anxiety and migraines cause all kinds of scary sensations. Hoping you get to the bottom of what’s going on soon!

Pinkshaylee,
I have experienced very similar symptoms that were also chalked up to anxiety. Ive had numbness in my face that turned into a pretty harsh burning sensation on one side of my face. Another time i was hit with an extreme migraine type pain right over my eye that lead into a headache and strange sensation over one side of my face. I have never told or asked the doctor about any of it so if you find any answers please let me know. I have also experienced the face twitching probably 4 times now and it usually lasts a day or so.
