I mean, I knew that neither of my doctors would say "Yeah, you're fine, just go home." But still not looking forward to the anxiety that comes with test results. My gp seems concerned; my gyn doesn't. I also wish I weren't doing this while COVID rates hit a new high in NYC, but...nothing much I can do about that except wear a mask and hope that the imaging center is on top of things.

I am sure you will be fine. Best getting it all over and done with now. Fat too many people not turning up for such things because of Covid. Which might lead to even bigger problems for those people in the future. You are making the right choice by going.

Yeah, I figure the risk is worth it. There were a bunch of open time slots for one test, but only one for the other, so not sure what kind of waiting room crowd to expect; I lucked out and was able to schedule them same day so that's one less trip out there at least.

I'm not doing well at staying positive. But what else is new, I guess? If I were good at that I probably wouldn't be here so much.

Breast cancer in particular terrifies me - it's very hard to get rid of for good, and I hate the idea of the rest of my life thinking of nothing but that. My friend's SIL was diagnosed at stage 4 a year ago, and while she's doing well now, it just seems like an absolute nightmare. Seems like it's the one cancer where being young gives you a worse outcome most of the time. Only ones I'm more scared of are brain and ovarian. It's probably weird that I have a tier list of scariest cancers.

Id not be too concerned, your GYN is above your doctor in knowledge and is a specialist.
If they're not concerned be glad.

Yeah. That's a good point. Tests came back ok. Symptoms might be hormonal, doctor doesn't know, no one seems worried.

Sorry, I didn't see you asked before. Just minor breast changes, but they included some of the things you see on the breast cancer awareness charts so I wanted to get them checked out. And then drove myself crazy in the meantime because that's just how I function.

I understand. What were the results?

BIRADS 1 so basically nothing concerning, come back in a few years. Said the changes were probably aging, weight or hormone related.
