This post is regards to my wife.

Almost exactly a year ago, my wife began getting intense throbbing headaches multiple times a day. Diet and sleep changes didnt help, her doctor gave her a shot of toridol to help with pain and after 2-3 weeks they pretty much subsided.

A week ago, they flared up again. She wakes up with moderate to intense "pressure headaches" that form around temples and forehead. They go away after an hour come back in the afternoon and subside when she lays down and then again in the evening.

Her Doc is has now recommended her neurologists and I'm beginning to fear the worst.

Anyone experience something similar or have any insights?

She might have migraines? They can come and go. Depending on how you sleep or how stressed you are, they can be more frequent. Also cluster headache can be a reason. It doesn’t necessarily mean a tumor. Think positive try not to assume the worst, that will only stress you and her out even more.

There are a lot of reasons people get headaches, and the reasons are rarely very serious. I have known people going to the neurologist and it doesn't mean something is necessarily very wrong. I myself have migraines from time to time and my doctor isn't worried at all. Apparently people have horrible headaches because of a lot of reasons. Going to the neurologist may even help your wife fix this annoying problem, so good luck!
