Not health anxiety related but curious if anyone suffers from this(certain sounds drive them insane)

For me i remember this starting at a young age with snoring, chewing, hearing voices talking through walls, etc

Anyone else?

I am OK with sound once I can work out what is causing it, e.g. a gate swinging in the wind

100 percent. Smacking lips:mad::mad:
That's exactly it. It drive most people kinda mad, but for me, I want to punch someone in the face. Lmao. There are other sounds I can't stand, but nothing is as bad as that one.

I live next to a train station. Try and picture the noise we can get at times. Oddly enough, trains don't bother us. You get used to them. If there is a delay in a train, they announce it over and over again. That can drive me up the wall. Or if any work has to be done on the train tracks. Can only be done over night. Imagine 3AM and angle grinders and drills start making their normal sounds. But even if a person is having work done on their home and a drill starts up, I hate it. Can put on headphones and the likes. Try and block the noise out.

The problem with misophonia is that otherwise normal sounds incorrectly trigger a negative reaction.

People talking in a room count? As in 4 or 5 people? Get me out of there.

With me i sleep with rain sounds blasting! Loud consistent sounds dont bother me. If a airplane hovered the whole night i would be great haha...but if that airplane left and i heard my door rattle because of the wind id go nuts
I remember at around 12 years old my grade went on a trip and slept in cabins, someone was snoring and it drove me crazy. I eventually had to go and sleep in my dads car.

Yes! Loud gum chewing/popping bubbles. Also, certain radio and tv commercial jingles drive me crazy. Think most places have a local business with a super catchy but also super annoying jingle.

Sudden or sustained loud noises trigger a rage response in me. But so does being startled, so it might just be an anxiety thing? Eh who knows.
