I'm 16, weigh about 180 or so. Ive had an itchy breast for about since November. Its itchy, scaly in some parts, and the skin on my breast is overall just flaking. It hurts when I press on my areola area. I have used vaseline, coco butter, and shea butter for this but it continues and persists. Nothing really truly heals it. When I peel certain parts a clear liquid comes from my nipple. Never any blood or anything. But I worry about it and haven't gotten around to telling a doctor about it.

Was desperately looking for s doctor just now because this coupled with my shortness of breath is not a good combo and am very anxious. I was scrolling quora of anyone else who might have my same issue and they were freaking out telling her to go to the doctor now and that its most likely breast cancer. I really need some kind of reassurance because now I'm concerned. This has been since November and what if its stage 3 or something and I don't know? My shortness of breath also has me feeling like I cant take a comolee breath. This is wack

Quora is not where you go for medical advice. Please email or call your doc and you can probably send pictures in if you don’t want to or can’t make an office visit. Do not get your medical information from Google.

or maybe it hasn’t been breast cancer the whole time? Change your way of thinking. Chances are slim to nothing you have it at your age. Stop stressing about it!

Psoriasis or eczema, maybe? Could be fungal? Make an appointment with a dermatologist if it's safe to so right now in your area and you're financially able. It's probably not cancer or anything else serious - at your age, breast cancer would be nearly unheard of - but it's probably something you can fix. And why live with it if you don't have to?

I've been trying. I'm afraid really to set up an appointment at this point only because it seems miniscule due to Covid-19. Like what if there are wait times like crazy or whatever. plus nobody else in my house is taking it seriously

Yeah honestly I'm putting off seeing a neurologist because I don't want to be in a medical facility right now. I need an MRI of my neck because of spinal stenosis, but how many people have sneezed in that machine??? Maybe try an over the counter antifungal like for athlete's foot? It won't do any harm, anyway.

I really hate how my mom is treating this. Its like she isnt even listenng to my conxerns about this. I legitimately had to scream and cry and say things like "your denying me medical care" for her to actually call and leave a message so someone can get back to me. She keeps saying "well you keep picking at it, ive had this same thing" but we arent the same people. My situation and diagnoses could be different. Not to mention the only thing I see when I search up my symptoms is breast cancer.

This! Not to mention if you look at the lymph system, there are small lumps around the breast/nipple are, and sometimes they get sore or sensitive. If it’s a skin condition such as mentioned (eczema), my ex had that on her lower neck, hair... and we tried everything and nothing stopped the itching.

Not sure about the flaking skin but clear liquid coming from nipple is normal. Everyone has that they may not know it unless they poked and prodded.it keeps our breasts lubed. I was worried once about the same thing and asked my doctor
