Do you play? I don't. But when it gets to $500 million or so some people at work collect some money and enter. I always chip in because it would be awful to be left out if other people at work collect millions. I'm in the Mega Millions now. It's at $660 million and 27 of us are in it. That gives me $24 million if we win. $12 after taxes.

I don’t play the lottery but sometimes I enter raffles. So far I’ve won a Chromebook and two $10 Amazon gift cards.

I told the woman collecting to pick better numbers. I asked her to get her cat to make the picks. My cat wouldn't do it last night. Cat's are smarter than people so I think they would do a better job. Remember that squid that was able to pick all the football matches winners? he even has a wiki page.

Is it not strange how we think that being rich will make us happy. Howard Hughes, the American billionaire was not a happy man. He had bad OCD and suffered most of his life. He saw germs and bugs everywhere. He even had his own sterile table in a restaurant and wore gloves everywhere. I have found all my life that just enough is enough. Like the widows cruise in the Bible. she always had enough oil to bake her bread, The cruise was always filled to the brim but never ran over. There is a moral there. Being satisfied with what we have is always best, Anyway, the odds on winning the Lottery are billions to one. If you must gamble do it on the horses, much better odds!

I knew a guy who was good at blackjack. He would go to Vegas and win money playing. If you are good at that you can shift the odds in your favor. Is that really gambling then? He was one of the strongest chess players I knew too. very good in highly tactical positions. I thought I had a 5 move combination against him that one a piece. It did but he saw move #6 where he won my queen. Not much money in chess though.

Someone in Illinois won. I think they have a law where you can remain anonymous so we will never know who. I was planning on how to invest my winnings too. Index funds would be easiest. Vanguard, Schwab and Fidelity are 3 good ones. The capital gains and dividends would be plenty to live on. I could build a greenhouse for my cat in the back yard so she wouldn't have to go outside in the snow in the long winters. She hates snow.

You must be one of the few people who track the amount you spend. I knew a guy who won $5000 on scratch offs twice. I asked him how much he had spend on tickets over the years but he didn't answer. I'm sure he had no idea.

I track them with the app for our local lottery as it gives second chance prizes over 1 million usd per winner of second chance these are losing tickets.
