Ever since my last er trip and extreme panic attack on Halloween I have been fearful of cancer. I have lost weight, unintentional, even when eating 2500 a day. I haven't been working out like I normally would so maybe its muscle loss, idk but after eating a Thanksgiving meal at my mother's yesterday I have somehow managed to lose a pound since yesterday and it has me even more convinced that I'm dying of cancer. I saw yesterday that this guy in this early 2000s band died of adrenal cancer and looking up the symptoms I have those. I'm really trying to put on a brave face for Thanksgiving today but inside I'm panicking

I'm sure you're fine. Our weight fluctuates. Anxiety and the constant fidgeting and pacing etc burn calories. I lost 20lbs from stress but I was barely eating. When I'm very anxious I can't eat. I try to and I just pick at meals. If you're active and have lost weight I wouldn't be worried. If taking to your doctor helps you, go ahead and schedule an appointment

I also can’t eat much when my anxiety is bad. I bet you’re fine. How much weight have you lost exactly? If you haven’t been in for a yearly physical in a while maybe you could schedule one and bring up your weight change with the doc just to put your mind at ease.

Only like 5lbs but I'm usually pretty consistent with my weight. I'm not overweight. Just alarms me when it's the holidays and haven't been working out and been eating crap, usually gain weight about this time of yr

Oh I certainly wouldn’t worry about 5 pounds. A lot of home scales can be so innacurate too we used to have two in our house and each one would tell me a different weight lol they’d always be like 4 or 5 pounds off from each other.

I have experienced this exact same vicious cycle . Fear of losing weight heightens your anxiety so you lose more due to increased metabolism .. and not eating as well.

About the same. Still fearful. I'm on 50mg of zoloft and definitely feel like I need an increase but domt go back to dr for 2 more weeks. When I'm busy I'm fine, its when I have time to think that things go haywire. Thanks for checking on me, sorry to hear you are still dealing with it too
At least neither of us are alone in the fight
