What’s everybody thoughts on the big names in the media pushing the vaccine as safe maybe been footballers now. They say it’s a race against time to jab people to save lives yet we have Europe unsure on the Oxford vaccine. I admit I feel very uneasy not being protected. Last year they said it’s a mild illness social distance wear masks now they say take this vaccine or risk your life or a race against time. I admit it’s the race against time bit which makes me anxious. Seems to be a belief this virus will get everybody. I am unsure what to believe my old work had a virus outbreak so the virus is out there yet Scottish case numbers are very low? Strange

Can anybody be positive about this if they don’t get vaccinated? I fear restrictions could continue for those who refuse and they will tell us how we can catch COVID. I hear about herd immunity when we vaccinate x number of people. I fear normal won’t return for me. It’s vaccine or never have a life again?

And yes it’s been wait and see for a year now nobody knows much. You are right it just stops u getting it as bad but I then worry if I get COVID I could catch it very bad?

Nobody can be positive about anything at this moment in time. It is still all guess work. Yes they are saying people with the vaccine will be allowed to do more. I am not even sure that much is going to be true. They can still catch Covid and spread it. Vaccine or not. So it would be a big risk still to allow thousands of people in the one place. They need to do it on a smaller scale. See how the vaccine works when they allow about 200 people together in a small space. Everybody is still in lockdown. So we are learning nothing new at all right now.

I see next Winter as the biggest test of all. Will it come back harder? That is what they have no idea about as of yet. It does worry them. A vaccine only lasts so long. Some are saying 6 months. Then what happens? Another shot of the vaccine? In six months they will only be finding out the long term effects of both Covid on the body and the vaccine.

Another cruise company looks like I may need to push for this legal action if this continues.

Well like a test to go abroad people maybe go a few holidays per year. If it’s work or to enter a pub these tests are sure going to mount up 2 a week for schools I may find myself having to take 2 per week too? Maybe more?

If that's how It ends up if you're not vaccinated, then yes. Least for a short while.

Only way were going to get back to normality is vaccines and testing. If you dont want to take the vaccine, you put up with the tests.

You can try with the legal action with the cruise company, but I'd amazed if youd get very far. Look in the T&C's, you'll likely find a "can refuse or cancel bookings for any reason" clause in there.

They talk about vaccinating groups 1-9 why was I offered the jab at 32? Surely bipolar ocd or anxiety isn’t more at risk of catching COVID than someone without anxiety?

I'm bipolar and been told I was group 6, so been vaccinated because of that. I've been told it's due to medication - some of it's fairly strong, so has a higher risk of causing physical health issues.

I wonder how the medication puts me at greater risk?

Depends which you're on, generally on most of the ones I've been on though I've had to be blood tested quite regularly for a whole heap of things.

Yes I use to get blood tests but I’ve had these meds on and off for 16 years so I don’t really get tested now. I hate needles for one thing hence the vaccine issue

That is the GP saying that. Not the patient. You did get offered it a week or so ago did you not? Nearly sure you wrote that up in a post. You were asked if you wanted it. Was that you?

Yes it was offered to me a week ago. I’ve not been to the appointment not keen to go to be honest. I do my best and keep a social distance I don’t wear a mask due to anxiety.

So no new appointments for a month what do people think supply issues or blood clot fears but they don’t say?

I notice they will allow some people to take a negative test but the issue is some countries expect you to quarantine which makes a holiday impractical so it is sort of discriminatory.

Have to quaratine here in a hotel for the normal time period too. Maybe gook a longer holiday. Book the hotel for the week you will come out of quaratine. Easy really. All just safety. Each country can do their own thing. Not a lot anybody can do about it.

I think the delay in the vaccine is not a good thing at all. It will make people wonder why. Like yourself. It will only hamper things.

I’ve had awful anxiety all day again. I think it’s the vaccine pressure on my mind. How can I feel better I take propranolol but they don’t seem to be having a good effect and not keen to go back taking diazepam from the doctor. I believe relaxation exercises can be effective aswell but can’t do them at work? I just feel very restless panicy weak worried in general about this vaccine and health in general. I really feel hard to be positive sure things open next month but it really feels so long away?

I was a bit more relaxed last night. However the vein feeling in my hand it was much less yesterday but the hand still feels tense or cramped I wonder if it’s because I am rubbing and clenching my hands together in a panic attack? It only seems to be the one hand. If it was something worse I would know by now?
