hey... sorry for the long read but my history is necessary for this haha. so i have had alopecia since forever and i have no hair in my head which makes me feel disgusting. i had a human hair wig which was great but it didn’t look natural so for the summer we got a cheaper synthetic one which was soooo great but i’ve had it for about six months and the ends are wiry and most importantly the hairline is not natural at all. my sweet aunt has decided to get a custom wig that will have a realistic hairline that i can put in a ponytail or whatever i want. we are going to a fitting this weekend but it’ll take about two weeks until i get it. this sounds selfish but i’m so excited i can barely wait. how can i deal with myself while i’m waiting so crazily for this piece??

That’s so lovely that she is doing this for you. I bet it will be worth the wait. I would say enjoy the excitement, the joy and anticipation, like a child waiting for Christmas morning. 2 weeks will be over really quickly. Maybe start a little project, a hobby to take your thoughts away from the anticipation.

Sophie, just bask in the anticipation. Nothing selfish about excitement over something that's such a big part of your life.
