Hello Georgey, nice to meet you and a very warm welcome here to the forum. That is a shame that you are suffering and I'm not surprised after losing two people close to you so soon together. Your heart is normal so the heart fluctuations are anxiety. Try to relax by meditating and if it doesn't get better see your doctor. Sometimes we need medication to help us with things. You may get better or it may get worse, hopefully, it will get better. We are always here for you to chat with if you need us. Let us know how you get on.

The chest pain is a typical anxiety symptom for me. I have had a lot of palpitations for a whole week before, and by a lot i mean once every 5 beats, and I ended up okay. The heart is just... More flawed than we think it should be. Hormones, adrenaline... A lot of thing can cause heart-related symptoms. Trust the specialist. I know it's hard but you really are fine. Just because you feel like you are sick doesn't mean you really are. Welcome to the forum Georgey. :)

Death really takes a toll on your mental health. My mom died almost 5 years ago. I never experienced anxiety until about year after she died. It was horrible. It hit me like a truck. I started to get my life back on track. Anxiety was never too far away but it was quiet. Then my father in law died in December. While we were not close, his death and funeral took me right back to my mom's. I never really talked about my mom's death. So, I guess I have a lot unsaid. Anyway, I feel the anxiety is back and I am back to thinking I have a serious illness again. Every little symptom is cause for concern. After a quick search on how to help carpal tunnel (my hands were tingling and I type a ton) it led me to MS. So now EVERYTHING is seen and felt through that lens. Someone close to you dying just hits you really hard and reminds you that you are mortal and that things really can go wrong. While I have not been to a doctor in 4 years...lol...and I could have something wrong...I have no reason to believe I do. Yet, every symptom makes me think I do. I totally understand what you are going through. I also know it doesn't help to say you are fine...but it sounds like you are. Your specialist wouldn't miss it. The real issue is fear of the unknown or fear of what may happen to you in the future. While I am fearing MS, I keep saying that as long as my body is working I am going to wear it out...LOL. It isn't easy and I feel like just crumbling sometimes...and I feel like a burden to my husband...but my anxiety quieted down before and it will again. I have every reason to believe you will be fine also. Take it from someone who has been there...it can end. It may not be over forever....but we can get through it.

Haha, I'm hardly a big help. Glad I'm able to help you! I personally don't have any tips to make the chest pain and palps go away, but my best advice is to simply ignore them. Whenever you feel anxious about them, tell yourself that you are okay and your fear is just a product of anxiety. I also find chest pain triggered by tightening my shoulders and contracting the chest muscles in the process. And when you're anxious you tighten your chest as you breath too. I usually correct myself when I caught myself in the act. Hope that helps a bit.
