I haven't taken any sort of martial arts since I was a lot younger. I took Bushido karate classes for a few years and loved it, but I had to stop and never went back. Unfortunately they closed in the town I lived in, and my parents weren't able to get me to and from the nearest one (~30 minutes away) because they both got home from work around 5:30pm. I miss it, and I've considered going back to the basics via YouTube so I can do it at home. Don't really have time to go to classes.

I took a few individual classes in Jujitsu back in the 1990's when I was a teenager. But I never could stick with it.

I feel you.
It can be tough on the body sometimes.
I've had a popped rib and knee injuries a few times.
But it keeps me busy.
Do you have any hobbies that keep you busy?

I do have hobbies that keep me occupied, Izthewiz, such as commenting to online forums like this one, listening to my music CD's, and going out for walks around my neighborhood from time to time.

Also really miss 80's and 90's music and all together the times.

I took taekwondo and jujitsu for about 10 years. Worked up to 3rd degree black belt in TKD, and blue belt in Danzan-ryu jujitsu. I enjoyed it, made some good friends, and kept in decent shape. Unless you want to go into teaching it though, getting degrees above 3rd (depending on the school) isn't really new information. The charlatans around martial arts were annoying, and it can get so political. Finally, like 80% of the people around me were teenagers or younger, and cranking on some reedy kid wasn't much of a challenge. I turned my athletic pursuits to my team sport, lacrosse. I played until I was getting whipped by college athletes, who are getting bigger and stronger each year, and now I coach middle schoolers and do Crossfit for fun and exercise. The lessons I learned from martial arts were profound though; I take nothing away from people who practice it with dedication and humility. So much bullshido out there though.
