Job seeking while having anxiety

How do you go about finding a job while battling anxiety? I manage to send some CVs but then can't answer the phone, care to show up for an interview or worse, going through the pain of being rejected again, even after you've done the most difficult part and have been selected.


To make matters worse, most employers seem to be looking for people who socialize easily and find it easy to fit in, get along with others, chat, joke and quip with ease...In my case it means no matter how skilled you are at that technical task you won't be accepted because you're not a sociable person.

I find it really difficult as well..I do a lot of working from home, and that eases a lot of the anxiety, but my new job I had to do two phone interviews and a phone meeting, and I didn't think I would make it! For that I just reassured myself that all communication would be through email after this, but I almost had a panic attack. I try to remember that the worst that can happen is they hang up on me or something.
