Jaw scares.

Hello again, as I said in my first post. I have been worked up over my jaw.

So this evening. I bit really hard on a dental crown because it felt out of place, it worked. BUt now my jaw feels very weak, I can't seem to open my mouth very well when I place my head in my palms and try to open my mouth.

I know I probably overexerted it, but it's got me really worked up. Has anybody had the same thing happen?

Never had this happen, personally. Maybe you dislocated it? Or it could be related to your actual teeth and not your jaw. Definitely go see a dentist when you can though. Try taking some ibuprofen if you’re in pain and put some ice on your jaw if it feels swollen.

Hello, thank you for replying. Ever since last night, my jaw doesn't feel so fatigued and I have a strong bite again. I wasn't in any pain or discomfort aside from being anxious over it and the fatigue itself. And today I just feel a little sore. But my teeth do kind of feel misaligned since then. And it still feels kind of loose, I e when I tilt my head, my mandible just goes with it. It's not super noticeable or unnatural feeling but non the less I don't know if that's normal. I haven't tried eating anything yet so I don't know if that will be affected. I will still get it checked out if you still think I should or something still doesn't feel right.

If your teeth feel that way, it’s probably because of how the crown might be sitting. I’m glad you’re feeling better! I’d still follow up with your dentist just to make sure it’s not going to cause any more future issues.
