Insomnia and anxiety

Hello:
Anyone suffer from insomnia? I simply cannot sleep more this 3 hours at a time and it is killing me. I started sertraline about 3 weeks ago and my anxiety comes and goes but when I get up it is at an all time high. I am working with a therapist and am considering emdr therapy to get beyond some events of my past that brought all of this on. I know I am rambling here but just need to know if there are others in this battle who have any thoughts on the insomnia. My doctor prescribed some klonopin but I am fearful of taking it as I know that it is addictive.

Good morning... I dealt with insomnia when I first started Zoloft as well.. it has gotten so much better but I think my anxiety was so much worse in the morning because I was not able to sleep. My doctor prescribed me Trazadone and I was to scared to take it...and now that I am thinking a little more clear and looking back I should have just sucked it up and took it and I might not have felt as bad.. I know it is so much easier said than done. Good luck with everything
