Frustratingly I am in a bad mood today. High anxiety, feeling depressed, and am so tired I feel like I could fall asleep at my desk. This is following about 2-3 weeks of feeling great so the contrast is threatening to pull me back into another episode of anxiety and depression.

But the issue is the same as always. Over confidence starts creeping into my mind after I have pulled myself out of anxiety cycles.
.....
I can stay up late one night that won't hurt. I can sleep in on Sunday I got this! I can fall behind on studying to play my new video game I'm excited about, I'll just catch up next week! I can have ice cream twice this week, I have been feeling good.
....

No wonder I feel like crap today! So many little mistakes add up to way more stress than they should.

I made these mistakes because I am human. I made them because I became overconfident. But I'll get back out. This time I won't let it drag me all the way down bc I know what got me here and more importantly I know how to get out.

The next few days are going to be tough but I got it!

Try not to beat yourself up too badly. It’s easy to fall into old habits that make us feel a little more “normal”. Get back into your heathy routine and this will be just a memory.

Thanks for the support!

Yea I agree. I just wanted to post it so others in the same situation can see we all make mistakes! I hope by writing down my struggles and mistakes it will help others to not be so hard on themselves when they go through an inevitable down. No one is perfect!

At this point my approach is to not overanalyze the situation and just be with feelings. Understanding that it will pass.

I agree with Jones. Don't beat yourself up. Anxiety episodes can crop up for no explainable reason at all. I really believe that getting enough sleep is the number one tool to battle the episode. You'll get through this just like you have all the previous episodes.
