Hiatal hernia concerns

Hi everyone

I have a hiatal hernia and lately i have been having so much gastro problems . Reflux , upset stomach with pains , sore chest and throat pain . Anyone have experience with symptoms like these ? I am taking 60 mg of Dexilant daily along with handfuls of tums .

I have a hiatal hernia too. However I’m not so sure it can be responsible for all the gastro problems you are having. It seems that your current med is not helping with the issues you are having in your gastro tract. The med I take is protonics and it gives me a great amount of relief from symptoms, especially the pain associated with the hernia. Talk to your doc. If the med isn’t doing it’s job, it may be time to try something else.

Thanks for your reply . Yes i guess its time for a re-think of meds . Seems like there's always something to ramp up anxiety about this . Is protonics a prescribed drug or is it OTC ? I don't recognize the name .

It’s also known as pantoprazole, and it is a prescription. I take it once a day. I mentioned it because there are alternatives since you are having symptoms in spite of being on a med.

Actually, my father is facing this issue. He is taking naturopathic medicines near our place. I don't know how long will the treatment last but I am waiting for great health of him
