Hello,

I'm KG. I am seeking a community to be able to interact with others who understand what it's like to have anxiety.

I am here because I have crippling anxiety caused by PTSD and I am trying to find my way. As lost as I feel... I know I'm not alone. There is still hope for all of us in this world. I'm two sessions in with my new therapist and after the experience I had with the first one I am still a little sketchy on the whole idea. I know that I need to keep going and keep trying. Isolating is my biggest problem nowadays. Next to health anxiety. I'm tired of feeling like I'm crazy. I want to grow and learn new ways to cope with my anxiety without self medicating and using drugs to numb my pain. I feel like this is progress though. My therapist has given me the task of taking time to meditate and write down thoughts. So here I am. I am refusing to let PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, and Panic Disorder take my life away.

Looking forward to making this a consistent positive and healthy tool.

Hi and welcome stillhealing2016. This is a great place. I have panic and generalized anxiety disorder. I have a very difficult time leaving my property but will be attending my weekly AA meeting tonight as I self medicated too much for years. Again, welcome, you're certainly not alone.

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you as a member. Everything takes time. So simply take as long as it takes you to get yourself better. Far too many people want instant results. That never happens. We have to train our minds all over again. Sort of learn to forget all the negative stuff we have thought ourselves with our anxiety. Learn more positive things. Hard to do. But it can be done. So keep up the good fight.
